AR Metallizing’s butter wrap is officially certified as recyclable
We are delighted to share that AR Metallizing’s METIVO Butterwrap GB (Grease Barrier) has been officially certified as fully recyclable.
Driven by consumer demand and brand sustainability goals, many dairy and butter brands have wanted to switch to eco-friendlier packaging materials for some time. Switching to eco-friendly butter wrap has been particularly challenging given brands needed to find a recyclable packaging material that retains the functionality of their present packaging materials.
We are delighted to be bringing such a solution to the market with our fiber-based, monomaterial butter wrap under brand name: METIVO.
AR Metallizing’s recyclable butter wrap is a fiber-based, metallized material that can integrate into brand’s present supply chains.
Our butter wrap’s metallized finish means that butter producers can retain the look of their current packaging without having to invest in a costly rebrand. Brands are also not obliged to move away from the metallized looks consumers associate with butter packaging.
Superior barrier properties
Our metallized butter wrap paper is particularly effective at inhibiting the oxidation and ageing of butter and blocking light from reaching inner packaging. Butter is therefore protected from both these elements and consumers enjoy a butter that is in prime condition in both look and taste for longer.
Excellent grease resistance
High grease resistance ensures no there are no grease spots on the packaging at any point. From the filling process to the recycling bin, our butter wrap will not spoil with grease stains or visual defects.
Recyclability
Our butter wrap is a fiber-based monomaterial. Our packaging can be entered into standard packaging streams by consumers. The packaging can then be quickly and easily repulped, and the pulp can be reintroduced into the new papermaking process.
Optimized for converting and printings
Our butter wrap is developed to have optimum tear resistance and dead fold. Our butter runs efficiently on wrapping machines and can be integrated into current supply chains. Our butter wrap is print-ready.
