For the most part, I work in the Genk office/facility keeping AR Metallizing’s employees happy when it comes to computers and IT in general. While working on global IT projects I’m able to meet nearly all the employees of the company. I love having the opportunity to be in contact with everyone, wherever they are in the company! Working on integrations and with new locations is always exciting, too.

"I love having the opportunity to be in contact with everyone, wherever they are in the company!"

I’ve worked to get to know a whole raft of great people from whom I’ve received nothing but positive attitude and respect. In many cases, these acquaintances grew into friends. Meeting new people all the time and  working with them is one of many advantages of my work.

If I’m taking care of our IT infrastructure, I’m working on keeping networks and servers up and running. If you don’t often hear about this work, it means that everything is going well! This year I'll be working 3 years for the company. So far, it has been quite an eventful time to put it mildly!

The essence of an IT engineer’s work is more or less the same in every enterprise. However, the influence of several factors is what makes the difference: corporate culture, leadership style, and most notably, the people around you. Working in ARM ticks all my “like” boxes including the last one!

I also like our collaboration within the IT department. Although we live in different countries, we are there to support each other. Here I want to praise Giovanni, our man at the wheel, who cultivates healthy team spirit and encourages collaboration. I’m also looking forward for the fifth member from Germany to join the team and make it even stronger.

My experience working as a legal consultant gave me good understanding of the administrative side of IT operations. Working for a Japanese multinational manufacturer introduced me to the methodology of continuous improvement, as well as other production management principles. It was a true revelation, including how much IT operations has to learn from plant operations.
