Holography is more than just decorative. It not only gives premium packaging a unique finish, but also enables brands to protect their products from counterfeiters. What’s more, just like the rest of our metalized paper range, it’s 100% recyclable. Here’s how our holographic papers are made:

1. A plain paper base is embossed with either a unique design or one of more than 100 standard patterns from the NMS library. 
2. The paper is then metallized with the usual metallized vacuum vaporisation process. When light hits the embossed metallized surfaces, this creates the effect that we recognise as holography.
3. A top layer of lacquer is then added in order to condition the paper and complete the process.
