The Pantone Color of the Year 2022 has been officially announced - and it’s literally never been seen before. While until now the Pantone Color Institute has always showcased colours from the existing Pantone catalogue, 2022 will be a year for innovation with Pantone Very Peri - a futuristic red-violet infused blue that should set creative wheels spinning. According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, Very Peri represents:

“The fusion of modern life and how color trends in the digital world are being manifested in the physical world, and vice versa.”

• Printing transparent inks over metallized paper will obtain a discrete wash of colour enabling the glossy metallic look of the paper below to shine through
• Layering white ink of varying degrees of opacity under transparent colours will enable you to fine-tune the glossiness level. 
• For extra sparkle, consider layering holographic paper under white ink - again, adjusting the opacity level will enable you to obtain a more or subtlety according to the desired effect.
