Retirement Ilona Kästner
In October, we waved off our longtime shipping manager, Ilona Kästner, who is going into a well-deserved retirement. After graduating from high school, Ilona trained as a business clerk before she worked in the fields of transport and forwarding. Ilona brought professional experience when she took over the position of head of the shipping department in our plant on July 1, 1997. Generations of trainees grew and developed under her guidance, as were many employees, whom she supported with a cooperative management style. She often got personally involved in challenging situations and built up the department very successfully. Due to her technical competence and her very team-oriented manner, Ilona quickly became indispensable for the plant and was appreciated by all colleagues. You knew you could always rely on her!
She also conveyed her leadership style to her successor Michael Jüttner since he was an apprentice. While we are sad that she is leaving, we are happy that the change is a smooth one. Many thanks to Ilona for her excellent dedication over the years. We wish her good health and many happy hours with family and friends in the next phase of her life. We know she will especially grateful for having more time for her grandchildren. Goodbye Ilona, enjoy yourself! We also wish Michael Jüttner every success in this challenging job!
