In the spotlight: Donald Lambert
I have worked for the company for 31 years this October 18. I started 3 years after I graduated high school. It's easy for me to remember the date because I started the day before my birthday. Dave Blair (Quality Specialist) who was married to my cousin helped me get in the door, he put in a good word for me. I worked on the night shift for 19 years. My primary role is as a process operator in Metallizing but I also float to Coating, help out in Embossing and can also help out in Slitting; sort of a jack of all trades.
What I most like about my job is working with my fellow employees to make a quality product to satisfy our customers. AR Metallizing is a great place to come to have a long-standing career, at least in my case. It has always been very people-friendly like a family atmosphere; a home away from home. Good people, the work is satisfying and it’s nice to know you are creating something that is used out in the world.
Outside of work, I’ve been known to cut a rug (dancing), love to spend time with my wife and watch movies. I also like to take my dogs for long walks - I have 2 boxers. They are basically my babies.
I’m pretty transparent person. I’ve always been meticulous and hardworking. What you see is what you get. I always try to lead by example doing the right things properly the first time. I try to relay that to anyone I have trained.
