In the spotlight: Gabriela Santos Ribeiro
I'm very proud to have been part of the Nissha Metallizing Solutions R&D team since 2019. Two years ago, I was invited to oversee Brazil, Mercosur and Latin America as part of the Regulatory Affairs global team. My aim as a Regulatory Affairs member is to help all team members understand how their daily activities impact product conformity and contribute to generating new business. Our hard work has already started to show results, which demonstrates the importance of solid team work and actively striving for improvement to meet technical requirements while complying with legal regulations.
I enjoy feeling challenged, but also welcomed and supported by the team. The R&D and R&A teams are made up of people with extensive technical knowledge and who are open to ideas and always happy to share and listen. Overall, this has been a very positive and rewarding experience. My Brazilian colleagues are a constant source of support and together we have been able to implement several new products and applications.
As a “people person”, I enjoy meeting up with friends and family for meals, dancing, listening to music or watching movies. Unfortunately, the pandemic made this impossible for a certain time, with some restrictions still ongoing. During this period, I discovered a new hobby: cooking. Not only did cooking enable me to pass the time, I also found out that I’m good at it - to the delight of my children!
