In the spotlights - Stela Shizue Sugama (Brazil)

I am 'Nisei' (Japanese language term used to name the children born to Japanese people who imigrated).  I’m very proud of my Japanese origin, but I love living in Brazil! My family (mom, dad and their four children) came from Japan by boat in the mid-1970s.
I have a degree in Materials Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Quality and Productivity.

I joined Málaga Produtos Metallizados back in 2005 before the acquisition by AR Metallizing in 2015. I started working at the Quality Department and after a few years I had the opportunity to coordinate the PCP.

Today I am responsible for the PPC (Production Planning and Control), which means that I am responsible for managing the sales orders and scheduling and controlling dispatches.

What I most like in this position is dealing with new challenges each day. Knowing how to deal with new situations and being involved in the management process is something that motivates me, after all, everything must be done to the point where we can meet the customer’s demands and deadlines. This is the quest for continued enhancement in the supply chain.

During the weekends and in my free time, I love to go out with my nephews. Travelling the world is also something I love! I also practice sports (I like swimming and jogging) and I am a fan of volleyball and tennis.

I am passionate about cooking and I enjoy São Paulo…it is a great city with loads of different types of foods!
